Tip#4 Take Responsibility.

You did something and you tried to blame someone else.

Maybe you had a sibling named, “I don’t know”, as in, who made this mess?   “I don’t know”.

You may have thought your parents had the words stupid stamped across their forehead, but they knew better and they told you to take responsibility.

Why is it that these days it seems people want to blame someone else for whatever is going on in their world?

They want to blame their boss, they want to blame their coworkers, they want to blame the government, they want to blame the economy, they want to blame someone half way around the world.

When you blame someone else, what’s going to change with you?

Absolutely nothing.

The only way you’re going to cause any significant change to happen in your life and in your world is when you decide it’s time to take full 100% responsibility for everything that’s happening.

Even on those things that you don’t necessarily control, you can take responsibility for how you react to those situations. It’s through taking complete responsibility for what’s happening in your world that you’ll start to open up the doors to your success.

On page of 20 of “Speaking is Selling – 51 Tips Your Mother Taught You” I write if you are blaming others for anything, you will not be successful.

I know some of you may think that sounds kind of harsh, if you’re blaming others for anything, you will not be successful. But I firmly believe that.

When you’re in a blaming mindset you’re not taking responsibility.

I invite you to take the responsibility, take that next step forward towards your success.
